DETAILS

In the early 40’s, Jack Kellogg left a mark in the brighter side of WWII history - and the nose art he painted is, to this day, as original, poignant and funny as it was 80 years ago. A resident artist on the 98th Seabees Battalion Newspaper, Kellogg brought its infamous comic strip “The Ink Squirts” to life not only in the front of 41st Bombardment Group’s B25J Mitchell bomber, but all over the aircraft. The “Ink Squirts” took part in the Marshall Islands, Tinian and Guam raids in 1943-44, and the air campaign over Japan in 1945. Inspired by Jack and his parody of the 98th battalion’s adventures and misfortunes, our “Ink Squirts” socks are a tribute to humour as one of the most powerful weapons ever created. Get yours now and wear them proudly!
